Wildlife
& Conservation

Vocabulary in Use

Many animal populations are in decline or under threat as they suffer from increased deforestation and habitat destruction. What’s more many invasive species have wiped out many animals in the wild. Some experts have proposed the establishment of wildlife reserves to help increase the numbers of animals.

Others have suggested that it would be better to breed animals in captivity first.

What is clear is that if nothing is  done many endangered species will die out over time.
